Is it normal i'm not surprised by trans medical issues?

I've been saying for decades that trans people are taking huge risks using artificial hormones to change the ones they were born with.

I just heard today of a F2M trans who is on kidney dialysis and will be for life, and apparently this isn't unheard of. No-one yet knows what the longterm effects of hormone therapy will be and this information confirms my belief that trans people are being conned by surgeons, shrinks and the pharmaceutical industry into the false belief that it's medically safe to "change gender". Plus of course, it's "flavour of the month" with the media.

The knowledge that some children and adolescents are now also having "sex change" procedures boggles the mind.

I've known a few M2F trans people and there's no doubt they sincerely believe they're trapped in the wrong body, but that doesn't mean they in fact are. Before anyone jumps on me for being intolerant, I do not believe trans people should be villified or discriminated against, but nor do I believe they should be experimented on in the name of "gender fluidity".

It's also not unheard of for non-trans people to have to be on dialysis...

Of course there will be implications, but you haven't exactly made a link there. Where is your evidence?

Of course they are having all kinds of problems. The medical community isn't properly treating the problem after all. The reason they aren't properly treating the problem is because there is MORE MONEY by going the route of hormone therapy and actually convincing the mentally ill person that they will be able to "switch genders" and live happily ever after.

Transgender people have some yet unidentified mental illness or clinical depression, either way it isn't being treated correctly by convincing them to take substances their body wouldn't ever naturally produce.

Depression is nature's way of telling us "slow down here humans, there's enough of you on the planet already".

I can agree with this. I can tolerate trans people but I seriously believe that they are sufferring from a mental illness. I have said it before and I will say it again they are suffering from gender dysphoria and should be treated by a mental health pro. The medical community should not be indulging or encouraging people to completely throw their bodies out of balance with harmful hormone replacements and surgeries. I think that it borders on unethical on the doctors part.

This is no different than the man who believed he was a cat trapped inside a mans body. He spent thousands of dollars modifying his body to look just like a cat. He eventually committed suicide because of his identity issues. He is an example of
someone needing counseling for an indentity crisis rather than being indulged and encouraged in his delusions. He is dead now because of it. Transgender people are no different. This is a delicate and hot topic lately. I know I sound like a homophobe
or transphobe, but this is what I believe and I do not apologize for my opinion. Painal is what will bring us all together.

They are suffering from a mental illness, but isn't everybody on this website. Like, look at them. They fucking like to be shat on and choked

I agree pretty much with all that except for the last sentence: WTF are you on about with that?

The cat man is a good example of doctors exploiting someone who needed therapy, not surgery.

I mentioned this in another topic but I think the 2 years living as the other gender is a pretty decent rule before proceeding with surgery and other non-reversible procedures. I know hopeful trans ppl want to get on with being the other gender but once you have surgery your going to be living as the other anyway so living as the other first kinda is getting on with it. I understand it won't be the same but I've heard many ppl that started down the 2 year path realized that the grass wasn't greener on the other side after all and changed there mind about wanting to change there gender. I think averting that crisis is worth the potential inconvenience.

I have a co-worker that is very against the concept of trans ppl. Whenever the subject comes up he always mentions that its a tragedy just like midgets that want to play in the NBA. While I have more sympathy for the plight of trans ppl I get the idea that we can't always get what we want in life and for some ppl its more difficult than others but that doesn't change that we still can't have what we desire.

Life is wonderful. I have a very good friend come to be a roommate (this is that work visa situation we talked about before). But even if she can't stay legally I think shes going to stay anyway and we'll just figure it out. Plenty of ppl come here illegally and make it work so I'm sure we can.

Work is going great and I put on 3lbs and I'm not even stressing about it. I got a chance to drive a friends Porsche up to 170 mph. What a blast! It takes a little bit to get there but not as long as you might think. Its suppose to be able to go even faster but I started to chicken out. Thank God for long straight midwest highways and no state troopers out that day. So thats all the German cars off my bucket list next is Italian supercars. So yea, living the dream. :)

Haha. I'm glad you're having fun. Ah- I grew up around those Midwest roads (Chicago area), so I know what you mean. Where are you staying in the Midwest?

I got to go over 100 during my last vacation, and that was enough for me...although my fiancé is kinda into the idea of me taking one of those defensive driving courses where the car skids out of control and whatnot...ugh, not my bag. 170: you are a certifiable crazy bitch.

I'm really glad you're doing well. It's nice to hear that you're happy

I would say where in a PM but one of us needs gold... I'll let you go first. :) Lets say its not to awful far from Branson.

Yea it was so fast you almost couldn't look down at the dashboard to see. You look down for a second and you've traveled 2 1/2 football fields. My girlfriend said ppls jaws were dropping when we passed them... I couldn't look at the other cars except to avoid them. I guess it was foolishly reckless but it was amazing. My leased car is suppose to be able to go 155 with the limiter and 190 if you take it off but I honestly have no sane reason to drive that fast except its fun. I've only had the leased car up to 135 I think. I never really pushed it to see how fast it would go.

Happy isn't a big enough word to describe how things are going. Work is great, I'm moving up in our productions to have bigger more important roles and thats more money of course. Girlfriend is here so I can talk to someone in Russian for a change. Getting eating disorder under control somewhat. Cut down to 1 pack of smokes a day. Switched to Vodka for low cal alcohol, also girlfriend likes it so win-win. Cutting back prescription drug use... a little. Problem is I don't like being clear headed. LOL. Got my tax return back and blew it all on clothes so that was awesome. It's hard for me to think of anything in my life that isn't unicorns that fart glitter. I wake up with a smile every morning.

My apologies to the OP and others for taking the opportunity to catch up with the Countess.

: ) that's awesome. I know coming off feeling shit and experiencing being happy again can be the best feeling ever, even if it is a little reckless, but isn't all happiness a little reckless. Embrace it and stick with it, and maybe get less manic lol.

I was just curious about what area you were in, since I grew up in the blah Midwest, specifics don't matter.

I'm in the midst of moving, sorting boxes and whatnot, but I'm on to the same type of adventure.

I'm really legitimately happy for you. You seem to be having fun, and that makes me smile. Unlike most of the dickheads on here that enjoy being miserable and making others feel the same, it makes me smile knowing that you're doing much better. I hope things keep looking up. I'm happy for you.

              Oh yeah- SORRY OP

People don't realize that during development in the womb it literally only takes one chromosome to change that separates us from being born one gender or the other. It is actually a lot more common than people think, to be born with a male/female body, but have the chemical hormones that develop with the opposite sexes brain chemistry. Yes its not normal or common, but it does happen more than you would think.

In the later stage of chronic kidney disease, doctors always recommend dialysis as the only treatment, which is quite painful and a bit invasive. Enterprises are trying effortlessly to improve the process of dialysis.
Humacyte Inc., Duke University and Yale say they are close to making use of bioengineered blood vessels. By using this, it would be possible to replace donor tissues and synthetic polymers.
The innovative method is now heading to clinical experiments and it would be expected to allow the patient’s own cells to produce that extra blood vessel for themselves.

I have very dear friend who is a M2F Trans, I respect her and love her like a sister, but I do worry that she will have physical as well as possible emotional complications. I often find myself saying, "there but for the grace of God go I", to others on both sides of the issue.

      I agree.
I'm wondering, why don't they try giving them hormones corresponding to their birth sex first? And hypnosis? Its so much easier to try to fix their mind than change their whole body, hormones etc. Has anybody tried that?

If you gave testosterone HRT to a trans girl, born male, it wouldn't change their brain into becoming male. It would only give them more of what they don't want, male attributes. Same would be true if you gave estrogen HRT to a female trans born male.

That is a Huge understatement. It isn't that complicated, its basic biology. It happens in reptiles 1 out of 100. Some can even change sex long after birth. Whats complicated is how its being politicized to push anti LBGT agendas.

I have no problem with Transgender people they feel a need to do something and follow through with it. They aren't hurting anyone and just want a more desirable life for themselves i don't know about what you are suggesting, it ins't an obvious problem so i'd say your concern is not normal.
