Is it normal i'm haunted by a long lost love?

I'm 35 years old. When I was 22, I was in love with a girl who broke my heart. I got over her and moved on with my life and I eventually forgot about her. Lately I have been reminded of her because I keep seeing people who look like her, or hearing songs that remind me of her, or ending up in places we visited, or things people are saying remind me of conversations we had. Is it normal for someone so repressed in your memory through time to come back into infatuation like this? Why, in the space of 2 weeks, have I seen so many references to her in the world, randomly, after so long? Is my mind just drawing reference to her in every possible way or is it something else? Is this normal?
