Is it normal i'm considering leaving this site for this reason?

For some time now I haven't been receiving anything in my in box from this site: no responses to anything I've posted, no replies to questions to contributors, no nothing.

I've checked my settings and they're all ticked and I haven't changed anything, but if the site doesn't change it back to the way it was I see no point in remaining on here because there's no feedback coming through.

    Emails have been fucked for over a year.

    I got this from Udi 4mths ago when I complained:

    "They've stopped working for everyone, not just you. It's a technical issue due to spammers using the site's forms and people registering with fake email addresses so I've been blacklisted, not sure how to solve it really. You'll just have to check the site now and then."

    His level of concern for his lack of capability is so humbling.

    The feedback link has also been broken for several months, and he said years back that anything sent through "quick feedback" will not reach him.

    He's quite the website genius.

      Check the site now and then? Oh yeah sure, I have time to keep a list of everything I send here and where I send it so I can check later to see if someone has responded?

          Thanks for that information, I didn't know that.

          However, I'd still prefer to get responses into my inbox rather than having to check to see what's there.

            I'd prefer that, too, but seeing as this has happened to me several times over the last five years - including a year long stint followed by this 18 month stint - and it's not gonna change, I accepted it instead of chucking a tanty.

    I am sure there are millions out there that already get enough email notifications of everything else and the last thing I want, is yet more of the same. I am more than happy to log on and check the notifications in the lot righthand corner.

    Wait... I'm SUPPOSED to get email notifications? Maybe I haven't been here long enough to know that, but I've been using this site for months! I've never gotten a single notification on my Gmail account!

    I never used the email notification option, I just check here (seems reliable as far as I can tell) but I'm assuming you still have to come to IIN to reply to the comments, right? If that's the case it sounds easier to just come here to check for replies and write back, and browse a bit and then you can read the full comments too. I personally wouldn't want to get a bunch of emails anyway, I try to limit my mail to important business only. I guess I don't see the value in email notifications but I could be missing something since I never used it.

    the only reason i want to leave this site is because of people that are ASSUMING that I am angry because of what i said, just to remind me that not only do i have to watch what i say, and i don't have to watch how angry i feel, but it's all about what i am saying more than it is about whether i feel angry or not at all as a result

    It won't work unless you submit your physical address to The Internet. You can post it here and I can submit it for you. The Internet needs to know your address to establish an IP address where all the responses can be sent.
