I just heard a survivor of a terrorist attack saying on the radio that he thanked god for surviving being shot. Does that mean he's grateful to god for not being one of the the people who didn't survive, which included a baby? And why isn't he questioning why god didn't stop the terrorist attack in the first place?

    He is thinking whatever makes him feel good. I think it is much better to find the truth in the long run. What if there wasn't even a god?

      Yeah, but at the expense of other people who presumably didn't deserve in god's eyes to survive.

    See, that's what I don't get about the religious freaks. If they are thanking their gawd for surviving, then they damn well should thank it for getting them shot!
    They can't have it both ways.
    A fucking bunch of hypocrites, each and every one of them.

      I guess it's silly to expect them to be logical but it still really annoys me. Far too many people in this world and especially religious people just don't turn their brains on when they get up in the morning
