Is it normal i'm 21 a don't have my drivers license?

I live in California, I can drive (been told by others I drive well) and I have a drivers permit but I fail the drivers behind the wheel every time 3 times. #1 the tester was a rude jackass. 2# the lady tester was really helpful, I was only about 10 points away out of 135 from passing, #3 the guy was really nice but I messed up at the beginning, my front wheel drove up on the curb just a bit. I'm afraid to take the BHW again, but not having my license has messed up my adult life so far. Is there anyone else like me?

    Update, I finally got my license at age 22. If at first you don't succeed try and try again!

    Honestly, I don't think it's that unusual. My sister didn't get her license until she was 23, and I'm 19 and don't have one either. I have to ride a bike or take the bus, sometimes both because the transit system in Vegas SUCKS. But yes, it makes life much harder when everyone else has theirs, and moving up in the work force is nearly impossible.

    As for not being able to pass the test, almost everyone I know failed at least once. You say your friends think your a good driver, so maybe it's just your nerves acting up.

    I tried and failed. Then two more fails. I gave up. Sat in the side seat till I was 38!!! Yes 3-8 and passed after one more fail total of five to get it

    It's not abnormal although I have a license I don't own a car which sux bcuz I have to take the train when all my friends are driving around.

    practice the driving test routine with a friend or parent over and over till you feel confident about it. you will get your license eventually and you will be better off to have it. your life may not always lead you to live in a place where you can get by without it.

    Omg u are soooo missing out on LIFE. After i got my license life has been 100 times better and more exciting. I can do whatever i want whenever i want. Everyday i drive my car i am grateful

    I didn't practice at all and I passed the driving test easily. I think you are doing something wrong.

    Plus not having a driver's license by 21 is not normal, because you become a leech off your friends and always use their gas. The independence to drive anywhere you want at anytime rocks.
