This is only for anyone who has watched the movie, anime or read the comics. You know what I am talking about and I will not explain to anyone who is unsure of what this is. For those of you who have watched you know its rated 18 and for good reason. I had bought it when I was seventeen since I had ID. It is basically about a women and her little girl and a ancient weapon that can only process women not men. Clearly this theme is aimed strongly torse women. That aside it has a lot of nudity and when being possessed by this weapon you become a lustful beast with body armor barely covering your shoulders ,shins ,feet, crotch and side of boobs(mainly your nipples). Doesn’t leave a lot to the imagination. I thought it looked like porn so I dismissed it and figured that is all it was. Though when I started watching could not stop. I do not understand why but the way it was made makes you somehow overlook the vast majority of nude big tit women. I think the creator is a absolute genius whoever made the anime is brilliant.

    I am aware of the anime, but I always just assumed that it WAS just porn. Maybe I'll try to watch it with my dick in my pants from now on. *shrugs*

        Haha yes unfortunately I do, although I wish to quit, or at least slow down consumption dramatically.

          I would recommend it. You will thank yourself for quitting in the end. If you are truly determines I will say check into rehab. You do not have to be forced into rehab since a lot of people go just to better themselves.

      It actually isn’t. The plot is about the mom trying to keep her daughter and the whole universe seems hell bent on separating the too. Which if you watch from beginning to pity the mom but as the story continues you realize she is a terrible mother but does honestly seem to love her kid. The whole story is revolved around mothers and women and how everyone needs a mom. In fact it even has a point of making guys and dads look bad. It is a weird mix since it also has some slightly lesbian insinuation in it and they turn almost completely naked in battle form( Which I am not sure if maybe he did that for fan service) Personally I was against watching it but I got curios and was entranced after I put it on. Did you find me from the nice guy finish last story? LOL it sounds like you did. The way it is set up you kind of completely miss the fact they are half naked since you are so enthralled in the emotions and the rest of the storyline. I think the creator is a genius and I have no idea how he could pull off such a feet. The person making it deserves a lot of credit.

    I'm watching the anime right now, actually.

    I probably should be offended by the ridiculous skimpy outfits and the white sticky "blood", but for some reason, I'm not. Maybe it's because it's so obviously not sexy or hot?

    The anime isn't that good, but I'm still finding it entertaining.

      NOT GOOD! IT IS SO GOOD! Also I know isnt it? It seems he found a way to make something look totally slutty and somehow make you overlook it completely. I do not understand how this man is doing this. He is a genius.

        Um... no, it's not good. It's entertaining, but it's not really that good. Besides, I heard that they really screwed up with the Witchblade universe even though it's apparently canon. And I don't know who it is that wrote the anime... but I'm pretty sure they don't really have anything to do with the original comic book series.

        And it's not that the director or the writers have tried to make the audience overlook the sluttiness of the show- there was A LOT of fanservice in the first few episodes there were completely impossible to overlook. For me personally, I don't know why, but I just don't get offended that much by fanservice anime. I don't know if it's because I've seen too much anime, or I don't think I know the culture enough, or I've just given up being offended over seeing women being presented as objects, or what, I'm just not offended by fanservice like I should be.

        Btw, I did NOT get out of the show that it was trying to make men look bad. I may have trouble understanding pretentious movies like Tree of Life, but there is NO way that Witchblade was trying to make guys look like horrible creatures. If they were, then a third of the show wouldn't be full of FANSERVICE. You CANNOT have a bunch of half naked women running around, bleeding white sticky blood and licking it off one another, and say that the show is anti-male.

          Well I usually notice the fan service and either find it funny or disgusting but I somehow was able to over look it and I personally think it is a fantastic series. I will not say anything against it since that is your opinion but I find it wonderful!

    I watched anime because I liked the idea of plot and also I don't mind nudity at all and it doesn't matter if it's women or men I just don't really care as long as plot is watchable

    I've seen a bit of it myself, and too be honest it doesn't appeal to me. Then again I dismissed it for the same reason you did. I think it's totally normal to watch a show for the story because that's exactly how I feel about High School of the Dead, which if you haven't seen has a lot of nudity.

      I love high school of the dead. That is my kind of humor. I do not like porn but I find fan service funny and I love the inappropriate jokes in that so funny. I love how they ruin every tragic or touching moment with a closet up of the boobs. My dad put it on for me once when I was younger and I like the way it was drawn and produced for the show. I did not think the style of anime and zombie was going to work but it did. I love the series. If you have not watched the OVA episode 13 online I think you should. I also Like Herem.

        Oh I've seen the OVA, I swear that episode is just mainly for the fanservice. Ya I love HOTD a lot and I'm glad that I got my friends to watch cause they also think the story and characters are pretty cool as well. (I hate it when I mention an anime like that and ppl just call me a pervert). I've never heard of Herem, but I'll be honest I really dislike Harem animes.

          HOTD that is not for perverts? Also most anime has hidden fan service which is why when watching it will eventually land at some kind of porn. Why do you dislike Harem? Also how can you say you never heard of it and say you dislike it in the same sentance?

            Is Harem a show? What is it about?

            I thought you meant the whole harem comedies, those I dislike. For example, shows like Dusk Maiden Princess of Amnesia and Bravo Girls, I dislike. The whole thing is just unrealistic, plus the male leads usually have no backbone.

    MAL says "Rating: R - 17+ (violence & profanity)"
    So I'll probably enjoy it for the action too.

      I have it and it is rated 18 but in my country if you have ID at 17 you can buy rated R films. I do not know if may be rated different in yours. I do not know though since where I live we only rate games to 17 and all movies are rated 18.

        It will be 18 here as well (or maybe 16), but the website I quoted that from most likely uses the American rating system.
