Is it normal i love movies that are very emotional

I like movies that are emotionally intense and make me cry. I am a tough man but I feel good crying when I see someone suffering or going through something on the screen that I can imagine going through even though I know the characters are not real. I like action and comedy too but there is something about drama especially when it's done well and a bit of romance. It might seem weird but crying feels very liberating to me.

I watched Black Swan. It's was bizzare. But it holds your attention. And it's emotional.

This morning I felt like watching Charlotte's Web and I did. I don't know why...

I'm not a big fan of drama, but I can appreciate it when it's well done. I just don't feel that a lot of writers can do it well enough in my opinion. I mean they don't really give me a reason to feel for the characters. However, if I ever come across something that is just sad or heavy then I truly enjoy it, just because it made me feel "something." Essentially I like it when things get a strong reaction out of me, it doesn't have to be drama. Recently I played a video game called "The Last of Us" and the entire time it was just...bittersweet. There were moments that made you feel hopeful for the future of the two characters, but then there were also moments that made you want to cry. Overall though, even the happy bits pulled at my heart strings, since it was like walking on thin ice. But the fact that something got a strong reaction from me is what I like.

If you like drama that's great, being a man has nothing to do with how you should act. I agree with you that sometimes crying can be liberating.
