Is it normal i live with my brother

I'm 18 and live in a one bedroom apartment with my 27 year old step-brother, I own the apartment but I'm the one who sleeps on the sofa. My brother does nothing all day then goes out and hits on and sleeps with random women at night. I'm starting Uni next year and all I want is my own space, but I feel like a stranger in my own flat. Every morning I wake up to find a different girl in my kitchen or my bathroom, sometimes I wake up and they are just watchching me sleep. One even started hitting on me once. My brother shows no signs of improving his womenizing ways. I have asked him to move out a thousand times but he turns on these big puppy dog eyes and starts sweet talking me in Italian I'm helpless I need help fast, I guess I'm worried that my brother will turn his attentions to me. I had a relationship with his brother, my other step brother but that ended years ago. If I don't get him out from under me soon I think I'll end up under him. What do I do?

    He's using you and you fall for his games. Your enabling him which will cause him to never improve. Take action and kick him out! He must learn the ways of the world!

      I totally agree.

      He knows he's got it made cos the OP is letting him live rent free.

      And all he has to do is sweet talk her in Italian to get what he wants.

      and yes... the way she wrote this it does sound like it could turn sexual. i mean he already knows her weakness.

      My parents died three years ago in a car crash.

        It's unbelievable that you sleep on the couch!

        OK if this is real ~ Wait until he goes out and bag up all his stuff from the bedroom and put it in the hall / living room. Have a lock put in the bedroom door and keep the key. When you hear him coming home with a woman, lock him out so that he can go home with her and if she lives with her parents he can sleep on their couch.

        Forget about his Italian crap - you are going to fail at University if you continue to let him live with you.

        You should give him one month's notice and if he fails to leave then you can call the police to remove him. He's so arrogant that he'd probably think it's a joke and would not fall out with you - as he may need to use you again in the future.

        Grow a spine. Get off the couch and put him on it or out the door!!

          He'd ruin my sofa bed. But you have a point I let him live with me because up til march I needed a legal gardian to look after me but I'm 18 now and have got my inheritance. I don't now if I can just throw him out like that, he looked after me when my mum died, helped me when his brother dumped me, held my hand when I buried my dad last years he's been there for me since I was 12. Besides has any guy ever held your hand looked into your eyes and called you mia cara its hard enough not to end up in bed with him as it is and since I turned 18 he's been ever more flirty. I need a straight jacket not a spine.

            You don't want to end up with someone who sleeps around with other women. Try your very best to look at him as your real brother. He's taking advantage of you and if he's a 'player' he will go through your inheritance before you can blink, then say bye :o(

            Ask him to leave and hope he will understand that you need to grow up with a little independence now.

            Oh dear, this is an awful position for you. A man will only do what he wants to do, and normally only leave one woman for another. Your best bet would to get him a gf that's prepared to look after him!

    You gotta toughen up girl , kick him outa there , you know his tricks stay firm. He's not your responsibility and you deserve your own life .
