Is it normal i live in is it normal?

It seems I can't focus on my real life as much anymore. Work, home, family, friends, pets, everything seems to be a little bit left behind, while I'm in here. Should I be worried? (In a way I already have the answer to this because I'm prone to addictions of any sort, from rubik's cubes to hard drugs and anything in between. Where do you think is it normal places within that range?) Or IIN? And, should I pay rent? :)

  • While this site is loads of giggles during my work day you have to realize its just the internet. Limits and boundaries - Moderation key to life. Please please stay away from hard drugs if you have an addictive personality.

  • I'm actually thankful to the IIN community. When I was in highschool I was terrible with grammar. They had years to teach me and make me progress, but couldn't. After two months on IIN, my grammar improved a lot. I'm no master at grammar, but I have improved a lot.

    • So a thank you deserves a thumbs down? -Facepalm-
"ItDuz, you're such an asshole -thumbs down comment-
"ItDuz, you said thank you to people -thumbs down-

Logic is fleeting with the new IIN community.

  • A lot of members have said that IIN is addicting. Some members don't get off unless they lose access to their computer or the internet. You should get IIN Gold! But in all seriousness hugging and kissing loved ones, feeling the sunshine on your face, tending to plants until their flowers bloom, going swimming with your dog, listening to live music, those are the things you should be doing with your time. IIN should be at most a hobby.

I don't think it's normal, and considering that you said you have an addictive personality, I think you might have answered your own question. For people like me, it serves as a source of entertainment when the news has gotten boring but I can't leave the spot I am at (like at work for instance) but otherwise I have other things to do =/

The bigger question is, why do you have an addictive personality?

I'm prone to obsessing over one thing for short periods of time. For example I'll start reading a book then I get obsessed with reading and I'll read all day everyday. I won't even go to sleep. I'll end up reading 10 books in a row and then just stop. haha

Not good...I like this site too, but you can't let anything consume your life. If you're ignoring your responsibilities and neglecting your friends, family & pets, it's becoming a problem. Also you should be concerned if you're prone to drug addiction.

This site is addictive, there's nothing you can do about it.

I don't have much of a social life except for the internet.
When I first join sites, I can get very addicted and I end up having to curve the addiction. I have benefitted from IIN in many different ways, so I am glad I have this site. Try to balance your online time with other things. I'll do poetry, read books, play games and it helps to add some form of balance to my life.

You have to learn to keep a good balance between real life and the internet in general.

If it gets to the point where you're not getting anything done and start making less interactions with the outside world, then you should be worried.

You should probably go out and work on your social skills. Definately not normal.

I used to. Took a 5 month break. It really got to be too much. Even though I really liked the people, I needed to prioritize.

You should be very worried about becoming addicted to hard drugs. Avoid them. Seek help while you still have a mind to.
