OK. Strictly speaking, the term for men who are attracted to pre-operative transwomen (shemales, trannies etc) is 'gynandromorphophilic'. I suggest you look into this a little bit. (It won't make it any easier to say.)The conventional acronym is 'GAMP'.

There are three types of men, basically, who like women like this and are therefore 'GAMPs' (I didn't invent it, honestly.)

The first is a group of fetishistic cross-dressers called 'autogynephiles' (search it) Sometimes these will actually go all the way and transition fully, sometimes not. Bruce 'Caitlyn' Jenner is an example. Mostly they are secret cross-dressers. Essentially they are heterosexual. So, if they are attracted to 'shemales' their attraction is to the transgender and many TS prostitutes relate that they keep women's clothes for men like this (outsize, of course.) These usually play a submissive sexual role.

The first type, if it gets extreme, will transition into an autogynephilic transgender, the second into a full-blown homosexual and the third will never be satisfied with a natal woman, because she doesn't have what he thinks she should have -- a cock. Marriages in all three cases are doomed.

As to proportions of the three types, I don't know. I am 100% of a sample of one. As a start calling them "shemales" isn't correct. Pretty sure "trans" is the more accepted term. Also the Female to Male ones are gonna act like guys, because mentally they are men. Male to female is probably what you're thinking of when you say "shemale", but even then getting rid of the penis is more commonplace than keeping it.
