Is it normal i like to observe strangers when i'm outside?
Usually on the bus or train I listen really closely to what people are saying and look at their expressions to see what they're doing. Is this creepy?

Scientists have researched that whether or not it's creepy depends on what song's playing in your head during the act of observation.

I do it to specialy when i used to take public transport everyone is so fascinating
I suffer with depersonalization and bouts of derealization. So i often find myself watching people in crowds and analying their behaviour to tell if they're human like me or lifeless entities just going through motions predetermined by something i'm not aware of. As if they're just npcs in a video game.
I do it in video games too, i often stand in a crowd of npcs and wonder if they're code or if they're concious on some level.. Trapped in a body that you can't control.. Internally screaming but always watching.. Always aware of the player character and hating them for their freedom..
Its creepy when games add moving npcs on a repeating track like them walking around a room on a set course and then copy/paste still images of other npcs in the area the moving npc is walking around in.
It gets me wondering.. What if they're self aware..? ..It gets creepy sometimes.
