Is it normal i like to be petted and scratched?

I'm a girl and I don't like making physical contact with strangers or people I haven't known for a long time or even with close people with certain things like ridiculously long hugs or keeping a hand on my shoulder for too long. However I love it when a close friend or a family member playfully pets me on the head or scratches my back or head. I kinda get why dogs and cats like to be petted so much, it just feels good and you can also kinda feel the affection when someone does it. Is it normal?
