I think that the shutdown is a good think because it is creating a mass hysteria which is necessary for a wakeup call. You cannot fix problems if you don't realize they're there.
I'm in America and i don't even know. Supposedly they were gonna quit picking up garbage and delivering mail, but my garbage is gone and the mail has arrived. Also, I've heard the government is spending money to guard national sites, which is costing more than just running the damn places... Idk wtf....
I am unhappy to say this, but I think the US are on a massive down run! I hope there will be a way out, cause if the States fall, they will take half of the world with them!
And since we are now in a very bad economic state, a United States going bankrupt will make matters much worse.
Maybe if those government idiots stop spending money on NSA, CIA and FBI spying and military companies developing new weapons every fucking minute, the crisis could have been avoided.
But no. The United States need an army big enough to take on half the planet (Cause everyone outside the US is a terrorist. Or so is claimed by "patriots") and spying hardware in every person's ass! So keep spending money! Soon we will have stealth tanks, plasma rifles, Obama knowing when a person in New Zealand takes a dump and no place to live and no food to eat!
Now, I have nothing against the US. I like the cities. I want to visit a friend in the states and see the sights. A lot of people are nice there too. But I do hate the fact that the people are being governed by idiots, hell bent on military and spying. We are not in WWII/ Cold war. Get over it! Russia doesn't have the money. China buys old russian tech. The middle east doesn't stand a chance with DIY explosives and old rifles against stealth bombers and your laser 747, and Europe doesn't give a fuck!
How a small minority like the tea party can do so much damage to the American people and the country as a whole, and still have any supporters, is a mystery to me.
They lost the election but just are not American enough to accept the will of the majority, as is our way. They remind me of a spoiled children who can't get their way, so they take their ball and run away home, ruining it for all the others who were having fun playing the game.
I agree; America is doomed. All the terrorists have to do is sit back any watch us self destruct; why should they risk life and limb when we'll do it all for them?
I understand, if no hysteria then can't know the problem. BUT people couldnt work to pay their bills. Aslo people barley have money now and then to plan a vacation to see the Statue of Liberty and then its closed, I would be pissed and wanting a refund. I think everyone in congreess is old and old thinking, we need younger better educated wanting to change the world.
This post brings to mind the song Enema by Tool. It's about wanting to watch the world go spiraling down. Learn to swim. Granted the world didn't spiral down, in fact for everyone but government workers, life went on as usual.
Out of curiosity did they save money with the limited services they offered during the shutdown?

I think it's awesome. I pay $40 a week to the lazy fucks who don't work. It's about time food stamps also stop for the lazy people, too.
