Sushi is AMAZING! I love the texture, taste, and everything about it. One of my favourites is the dynamite roll. Alot of people say "sushi is gross!" and that really frustrates me, because sushi is my favourite food! Is it normal that i find sushi delicious? (im canadian)
Normal. I sometimes go to the local buffets just to eat large quantities of sushi. Though I don't get frustrated when another person doesn't like it.

Yeah it annoys me too when people say they hate it as if there aren't all different kinds. Plus it depends on where you go to get it.
In fact, there are very few parasites that can live in seafood and human beings. All that has been taken into account by those who teach sushi chefs.
You might run into a problem with home made sushi or an untrained sushi cook who doesn't know which kinds of seafood are safe to eat raw.

Pelagic fish like tuna do not get ciguatera. Cooking does not prevent ciguatera anyway, so again it comes back to an educated chef.

If you're talking about the raw seafood, that is not called sushi. You're mistaking it for sashimi.
Sorry. Sashimi is tuna sliced very thin and served raw with a dipping sauce. I have eaten fresh caught dolphin as sushi, but that is one of the fish that can have harmful parasites, so it is not available commercially. Sushi definitely can have raw seafood on or in it.

Even though mahimahi is totally commercially available in your local freezer section at most American supermarkets (see your local grocer), I'm still not wrong! I'm never wrong!!! NEVER! And I will verbally abuse anyone who disagrees with me.
When I say dolphin, I mean dolphin fish. Anyone who's not an IDIOT could infer that!!!! I expect all of you to be able to fill in all the blanks, and will call anyone who doesn't STUPID.
