I've only met my cousins friend once and I think he's cute. Just last night I was out with a bunch of friends and he bent over So I looked over at his butt and I felt the urge to slap his but I didn't.Through the night I kept giving hints that I like him but he wasn't getting it. I want to ask him out but I don't know if he's straight. Is this normal and in the comments could you suggest if I should ask him out or not.

    This is a genuine query: when you say, "I kept giving hints that I like him but he wasn't getting it" how can you discern whether it was him not getting it or him actively ignoring your advances?

    What have you got to lose? Unless this guy is a total jerk, even if he doesn't want to go out with you, for whatever reason, he should be flattered that you liked him enough to ask. Do give it a try.
