Is it normal i lactate? (not pregnant)

I don't lactate often and it's not a lot but it happens. It's not milky or watery it's actually pretty thick. I first noticed it happening during puberty but I thought it would stop by now. I'm not pregnant. It's been months since I had sex and I even used a pregnancy test to make sure. And I've never been pregnant. I'm not on any medication.

Please help, google search just scares me with stories of infertility and tumors.

I'm too nervous to ask my lady friends if it's normal.

It can result from hyperprolactanemia or a tumor near the pituitary gland. Don't fear getting it checked out because they are usually harmless and you simply take medication to remedy the problem. Neat fact: if a male develops the same condition they can also lactate.

I have been to the doctor for just this. I went in my early 20's. The docs scratched their heads because I wasn't pregnant. (even though I thought I had miscarried months before and didn't see a doc then). Many many many many years later, after having 2 kids, it still happens, tiny amounts My doc wasn't concerned. Maybe I should be concerned. But anyway, see a doc. Maybe your doc will or will not find something. Ease your mind.

    Good luck.

I have heard of things like this before. I wouldn't call it normal, and I don't know why it happens, but I don't think that its always because of something dangerous. Still, if your worried see a doctor. I'm a guy, btw, so I don't really know much about this.
