So I am a girl by the way. I kind of hide behind my hair. I have long hair and I am shy. I feel somewhat that my hair camouflages me like a chameleon. Is this normal to feel like my hair can make me feel invisible?
You know, I had the same problem. Just have a little self confidence & other people will see your true beautiful personality rather than some hair.
I honestly think any girl who CAN hide behind a heavy blanket of long luxurious hair is among the most beautiful things imaginable...think of it as your cocoon where you're not just strikingly beautiful but also warm and safe :)
How long is your hair, OP?
I do something similar. I wear subdued colors to try an avoid notice. I really don't like strangers and interacting with people I don't know. Although once I get to know a person I never shut up.
It is very normal, and o.k. if you want it to be that way. I used to do the same, but not anymore. If you're tired of being shy and/or invisible you can always put it up. You will feel naked and vulnerable in the start, but a whole new world will open up to you, believe me.
It is perfectly normal, in fact, I find it absolutely adoreable.

I used to have very long hair, but I never wore it out. It didn't much work out as a defence mechanism, because people would always come up and bother me about it. A few months ago, I cut my hair and a few weeks ago, I cut it shorter. I find it easier to hide behind it now. I did get much attention anymore and I prefer it that way. It's like using books as a security blanket:)
