Is it normal i have this feelings regarding my bisexual girl friend?

I am a straight man, and my girl friend is bisexual. I have no problem when she mixes with, plays with and sleeps with other bisexual/lesbian girls, Infact I encourage her to go out with them and even introduced her to a lesbian cousin of mine and they still see each other. She also introduced me to some of her other bisexual partners, and I had a one night stand with most of them too. However I cant stand the site of her with another man and if I ever see her chat with one I want to kill him right away. She was very friendly to some of the guys at college and used to chat with them a lot, but after I explained how I felt and even threatened to break up with her she doesnt talk to them anymore. I made her promise never even talk to another man excluding her father (who is a nice old bloke, and accepts our relationship) and myself, and she agreed cause we truly love each other and wont do anything that may cause us to lose each other. However I assured her that I have no problems with her hanging with other girls. Once I even beat up my younger brother (who was 13 then) who once played truth or dare with her, and when she chose dare he dared her to kiss him. She ofcourse took my action reproachfully but knew how I felt so dropped the matter, and I threatened my brother with sever beating if he ever looked at her again. Does anyone else in this situation feel this way?

Being jealous is to some degree normal, but telling another person to whom she can and cannot speak is ridiculous. Beating your own little brother up because he managed to coax a little kiss out of your girlfriend is morally reprehensible. You have a serious problem.

Agreed. It sounds like OP has some serious issues. Everyone gets jealous from time to time, but you can't go around assaulting people.

Seriously? Not letting her talk to her father? Yeah...

It honestly sounds like the OP is a very young person too just on the childish behavior.

      • When did I say I never let her talk to her father, what right do I have to stop her from doing that? Her father is a very nice man and I have a high respect for him. Surely I respect their father daughter relationship, and neve found anything suspicious. But I said that I do not want her to be mixing with any other man other tan myself and her father to which she agreed upon and promised not to do and she kept her promise till this day because she loves me and I would have done the same if she asked me. I was 16 when I beat my brother, 19 now and I admit it felt hear breaking to do so. But you have no idea how I felt then, and I support what I did and if he ever dares to do something like that again, he would expect the very same treatment from me. He has his own girl friend now, so chances of that happening again are slim.

Ah I see, that was my bad, I thought I read you didn't let her talk to her father.

Although I still stick by what I said. You seem like you have a lot of issues. First off, you're right I don't know what you felt like with your brother's situation, but that doesn't disregard me from judgment--you shouldn't respond to situations like that with violence. Second, you're an adult now I presume, and as an adult it is time to start acting like the big boy you are. You cannot attack your brother, that is assault in the eyes of the law, and you can get arrested and jail time if your brother chose to press charges. This shouldn't even be a discussion, because your girlfriend shouldn't show any interest in him at all.

On another note, jealousy in and of itself is pointless. There are only two possible scenarios: 1) Either your girlfriend is truly loyal, at which point there is no need to be jealous because she wont cheat on you with other men or 2) She is not trustworthy, at which point why would you want to remain with her anyway? If she is important to you, trust her.

I'm not attacking you, but you seem based on your aggressive actions and your mentality like you are on your way to eventually abusing her.

The fact that you're jealouse is normal. I am a bisexual female -I would never cheat on my S.O anyways but still- and My last boyfriend and my current boyfriend both have said "You cheat on me with another boy and I'll be pissed"
    "What about a girl?"
    "They don't count."

I don't know if males just don't see it as cheating or if that natural instinct kicks in around males and doesn't appear around females.

But threatening to beat up other males isn't normal, I would suggest getting help.

Its nice to see you respect her sexuality. But refusing to let her make friends with other men is just stupid

    Sounds like an insecurity issue.

I had a girl who prevented me from having other female platonic friends. I got rid of her.

    • Would you allow your girl to date another boy/man whilst you are your boyfriend? Ifyou claim to do so yo never had a girl, you dont really have one and you have no idea how relations work.
