Is it normal i have really thin hair

I have thin hair and it SUCKS. My friends used to tease me about a bald spot that's not actually there. I hate when I put my hair in a ponytail because you can easily see my scalp on the sides of my head. I never feel like I can do normal hairdo's because my hair and accessories just don't function like normal full hair on chicks. It doesn't curl and clips don't stay in. On the plus side when people cut it, they say its really soft and healthy soooo nothing I can do about it really.

My mom has a bald spot... but thats cuz a nurse scratched her when she was born. everyone has the same amount of follicles dont worry you are fine its probably mountains out of mole hills. if it bothers you do something with it.

Is it recent, or has it always been this way?

It may be that you have a deficiency in something like a mineral or vitamin which is making your hair appear thin. Or it could be genetics...

Damn nature vs. nurture...

Maybe it looks fine and you're probably just drawing attention to it in your own mind when the casual observer wouldn't notice..?

Long hair weighs down your hair and color of hair can definately help the apperance. The darker the thicker it looks. Thats why i have black hair. Try using henna hair dye. Its also good for the hair. I really don't know what to say. I have thin hair too and at the back of my scalp you can just see like my hair separating into a lil zig zag but it doesnt look too noticeable. Dam genetics i don't want to grow old im scared of looking like the crypt keeper in the distant future :/
