Is it normal i have an eyelash in my eye this long!?

Is it normal that I've had an eyelash in my eye for 73 days?

whenever I try to get it out it slides across my cornea and to a place on my eyeball that I can't reach, and it's driving me crazy.

I',m worried that it will slide to the back of my eye and impale my brain. I'm just so paranoid about this right now, my heart is pounding and I'm breaking out in a cold sweat.

I NEED TO GET THIS EYELASH OUT OF MY EYE!! ITS RUINING MY LIFE!!

I CAN'T EAT, SLEEP, SOCIALIZE, DRIVE, TAKE A SHOWER!!

NOTHING!!

I WANT IT OUT NOW!!

IS THIS NORMAL?! PLEASE HELP ME I'M LOSING IT!

Chances are that it won't impale your brain. What methods have you used to try to get it out? Your best bet is to ask a eye doctor if they can help you.

    Good Luck!

    • It's still in there and I'm deathly afraid of doctors. Everytime I go there I always get told something I don't want to hear and I know they're getting sick of seeing me because I'm there bout three times every week.

I have a phobia of doctors too. But sometimes you have to face your fears least be met with consequences. If you are there that many times, haven't you briefed them on your eyelash situation?

        • I refuse to go, what if they tell me that I need to have my eyeball taken out, or that I have malaria or botulism or salmonella?!

Jus the thought of those cold latex wrapped hands makes me shiver with fear. I CAN'T GO!

Chances are unlikely that your eye will have to be taken out or that you have those other diseases.

Have you tried blowing it out? Or, flushing it out with water. Though, it seems to be that strong wind would be the most effective and invasive method.

Gently grab onto your eyelashes and lift the lid away from the eye and then bring the lid down past your eye. This will help move it out.

People with contacts do this. If this doesn't work ask your friends with contacts about what they do.
