Is it normal i have an attraction to my furry?

So I have been drawing Gay furries with my fiancee for a year now. It has come to my attention that I am deeply attracted to my fan favorite, Jake. I am straight. Every night I have vivid dreams of him and I. I cried the other day because he wasn't real. I always end up trying to talk to him. This probably isn't normal, but he has been in my mind forever. And I love him. It kills me he isn't real. Help!

There is nothing wrong with being attracted to "Jake". The problem comes when you take it so far that you're crying because he isn't real! Is your fiancee not good enough to keep you happy? Drawing furries is okay, but do it in moderation!

My fiancee is a very attractive and self determined young lady. She makes me happy to even be by her side. Its very confusing when your attracted to something thats not real, let alone a guy.

        1) Your fiancee has a pretty name, one I was considering for my first daughter.

2)Eh, I have found myself being attracted to some pretty strange things. They have all either passed or turned into hobbies. You sound like you have the appropriate amount of respect and attraction to your fiancee, so I don't think there is an issue.

And to answer the "does she know" part of your question, yes. She knows. We usually never keep anything hidden from eache other. Unless it's either unneccessary at the moment, or just something thats not cared much for. Just FYI. When it came down to this situation, she told me that she has had strange things like this before. She told me stories from when she was 15 to try to ease my mind and not worry about this. She used to have a strange attraction to her dog after he died. It must have been her mind retailiating over grief. She was in love with him too. I havent had a death or injury in the family. '05, so I don't believe this is due to grieving. Do.you think I should visit a psychiatrist?

I don't feel like your liking these charicters is something that needs a psychiatrist. Lots of people "have feelings" for fictional charicters, and the fact that he is male doesn't really mean anything I don't think.

Unless this is something that interfears with your life, or relationship, I don't see a reason to seek help. It sounds like you have a wonderfully supportive fiancee btw.
