Is it normal i hate some words but don't hate their meaning?

There are just some words I really can't stand hearing, even though I don't mind their meaning. I don't mean swear words either.

Cunnilingus

There. Horrible horrible word, it's like nails on a blackboard, but I don't mind what it means.

Is it just me?

O

The "lingus" part always makes me think of it as kind of a language, and I picture a guy talking into a girl and using her as a bizarre sort of telephone or something ridiculous like that whenever I hear the word. It always makes me involuntarily form this literal translation alternative in my mind: "vagina speak", which doesn't describe it very accurately! xD

What does this 'O' at the end of your post mean? If it means you've reached orgasm right after speaking of that horrible horrible word, I will start hating on it, too.

I hate the phrase "pap smear". I'm actually sort of afraid to get one, just because I know I'll have to hear them say it.

I'd never thought of it but you're right. It is a quite horrible word. I've got a friend who hates the word lesbian (which I dislike too). She just calls herself a girl-kisser, which I love.

We need to invent a new word for cunnilingus. And analingus for that matter.
