I absolutely can't stand my mother. I'm 18 and she's still trying to control my life. She even sets a cerfue for me and a set of choirs. Here's the thing. I live 100 miles away from her with my brother. She still expects me to follow them. I hate her so much that I don't even want to see her wee again. IIN?

If you're paying your own rent then you shouldn't have to worry about it. Although you'd be doing chores anyway because you don't want to live in a dirty shithole right?
And if she's paying the rent... well then there's your answer. If she's supporting you she still gets to tell you what to do. You can't expect to live off her for free, not if you aren't willing to accept her rules.

Yes you're 18 and you're gungho to be an adult but don't forget not too long ago you were 17. Your mom's just not going to quickly adjust to you growing up. She's normal.
if she's paying your bills, you shouldn't complain. doing what your mom asks of you is a more than fair compromise in exchange for a free ride.
