Is it normal i hate fast food?

I just saw an old poll about fast food where people who commented that fast food is gross were being thumbed down.
With a few exceptions I hate fast food. The only ones I don't mind are stuff like subway, taco time (which is a local chain that uses organic ingredients), and other similar "healthy" fast food places. That said I don't even think those ones are that good. Places like McDonalds and Taco Bell use low quality ingredients and awful meat. I grew up eating good food and buy my meat fresh from the local butchery. I try to eat all organic food. I do realize that this is normal as this is what we ate for thousands of years until we invented hormones and other crap but I am wondering why everyone is brainwashed to eat crap. Not only is it horrible for you it also tastes disgusting if you have ever actually had real food to compare it to.

I love fast-food and the female employees who serve me there :-)

It's mostly fast food meat that's unhealthy, but I'm a vegetarian so I don't eat it. In the past few years, most places have switched to using oil without trans fats to fry fries in.

And I'm confused by the healthy/healthful argument. I think what he/she is saying is, "healthy" means "in good health" and "healthful" means "good for your health." All foods beside junk food and most fast food are healthful, and if you don't eat at all you'll die. Correct me if I'm wrong, preferably without the know-it-all attitude.

I like fast food. I don't want to because it's so bad for me and it adds to certain health problems. But I ate it as a kid and developed a taste for it of sorts. I don't eat it very often though because I don't go out very often. I try to stick with the less greasy places though.

Subway is in no way healthy. In fact no food is healthy. All (well most) food is dead, dead is the opposite of healthy. Now some foods are healthful, but certainly not healthy.

    • That's why I said "healthy" in quotation marks, implying that it is only more healthy than most other fast food. Healthy is having an organic garden and hunting.

You have missed the point entirely. No food is healthy. You are using the wrong word. Food is dead. Dead things are not healthy. What you mean is having an organic garden and hunting are healthful. Which is not always true either but I won't get into that because you don't seem to understand things well.

You make no sense, for anything you eat is most likely dead, even an apple (once plucked it will begin to die till the seeds are dried out). So technically calling something like an organic supplement "healthy" is used in the right text. Now it doesn't make full sense for it's best compared to another consumable to be truly used in right text, but the English language doesn't cover that so it's still used in the right text. I'll be frank with you, the English language is not complete and lacks, so of course some texts will be confused in which way they're supposed to be used, but that's with most languages. So do you mind not trying to be a grammar nerd for you're failing miserably? Also I can't blame the guy, I hate fast food too, but that's only because I can't digest large amounts of grease. It was practically my only issue living in N.A. prior before moving to Japan (I lived in America probably 3-4 years). Yet, I never judged food for healthful tendencies, but that may just be because I can't digest those certain foods anyhow. If you ask me, if your happy with your usual diet then there's nothing wrong with your health (not including obesity or anorexia). But then again, I've been told of being very healthy from habit so I guess I shouldn't be speaking.

You have missed the point entirely. It is not about the food idiot. It is about the grammar. The correct word is healthful, not healthy. Okay is that clear enough for you Einstein?

Food can be healthful or not. People can be healthy or not. Okay? I don't make the rules. That is just how it works.

That bit of clarification was not helpy at all although it was somewhat helpful and that's a truthy... I mean truthful... observation.
