Is it normal i go for girls out of my league

So I'd say I'm about a 6 maybe a 7 on the 1-10 scale in looks an maybe a 8-9 in personality. I know personality helps with girls but most girls 18-22 are lookin for hotter guys. But for some reason I invest a lot of effort into girls who are clearly out of my league usually they will just humor me but it never leads to anything is it normal I keep trying with these girls instea of the more average girls?

    it's hardwired into your brain, or chemistry, or whatever, to look for the most attractive female mate. There’s the clear skin and shiny hair that suggest good, healthy genes. You can’t help it. It’s in your nature to want the most attractive mate who will best allow you to spread your seed.

      Yes it's evolutionary. Everyone wants a beautiful partner. The biggest lie is to claim that only men are visual. Women are too. They only want a handsome guy. In the end of the day the pretty people end up with each other and the uglies either settle with each other or keep hoping that a blind pretty person will date them for their "personality".

    You'll never be able to judge yourself fairly. The problem with hot girls these days is that they rely on being hot and tend to forget anything else matters. Are you attracted to the beauty or to the arrogance that comes with it? Your best bet is to find a girl who is hot but doesn't flaunt it as such, she'll be more likely to have some self-respect and something else to offer :)

    Maybe they are out of your league? My girlfriend is a 10 in looks and I consider myself a 6-7 also but she considers me to be a 10 also.

    In my opinion, it is normal and natural to want them or to try to score with them but only if it does not stop you from enjoying the less "perfect" ones. So unless it stands in the way of making use of the available opportunities, I´d say it is OK.
