Is it normal i get so down when my "friends" don't like my halo maps?

I know this may sound really geeky, but I love the Xbox 360 game Halo Reach! I play it, meet up with people on it and make maps to play with other people.

However every time I make a new map, there's one or two friends in particular that always hate whatever I create! I praise their stuff but whenever it comes to my stuff they always complain, even if loads of other people agree my maps are cool.

The problem is that I'm so after their recognition (I'm not even sure why considering their stuff is bad) that as soon as they say that stuff I feel bad!

Why do I care so much about online friends and what they say about my virtual world? And does this happen to anyone else? : (

    If they're constantly hating everything you do, even when other people tell you the map is good/fine, I think they're just being dicks for the sake of it.

    I'd stop telling them they're maps are good or give a slight criticism. If they get peed off about it and complain about you being critical, just tell them it's their own medicine, so they should have a taste of it at least once.

    Everyone wants to have the approval of their peers so you're normal in that sense. But it's important to know when to disregard that compulsion.

    Ah don't let it get to you :) I'm ire they're just jealous. I sadly don't have reach but I have Halo 3 and I attempt making maps on that. No one likes what I make but I have fun pissing about on it which is all that matters xD
    Just enjoy it an don't let then get to you
