My friend had a fight with her friends so she started hanging round my best friend when I wasn't there and now she tries to gang up on me with my best friend. She just annoys me because she is friends with all the popular people but she wants to steal my best friend. Am I just overreacting?

One time my friends became their friends, then their friends were my friends while my best friend was their friend. To sum up, go to hell.
You aren't overreacting, I'd deck the bitch or... play the same game. If you don't wanna play offensive, then at least tell your original best friend how you feel. Plan something really fun, invite others to convince her to go and then invite her, (but not the one trying to steal your friend of course). Then slowly but surely in a sneaky kinda way, you'll get your best friend back! =D
You can't stop your friend from making other friends. Try not to be too hostile, but it seems to me like you are just a little jealous.
I know exactly how you feel. I like to keep my circles seperate. when someone befriends your BFF sometimes it can be messy...
No, I do not think you are over-reacting. However, people like that don't just go away. I'd suggest try and be friends with that person, who knows maybe they'll become your new best friend! Don't let jealousy, or fear/etc, get in the way of friendship. The more the better! :)
