Disgusting!! Everything about them is so disgusting,let alone the way they get killed! After watching one episode I was totally disgusted I couldn't eat!! I wanna puke!!

I like Happy Tree Friends - its kinda like Itchy & Scratchy from the Simpsons
I've seen it, and at first I think "Aww how cute!" but then I watch for a few more seconds and slowly start getting more scared to watch. No really, I cover my eyes and get scared to hit pause, but I can legit watch all the Saw movies and still eat a burger during it. Maybe its the whole "killing off your favorite cute little cuddly animal cartoon characters in the most horrible way imaginable" scenario that makes it so damn scary.
It is disgusting and horrible, but for some unkown reason I don't know why it makes me laugh. Maybe its just for people that have a somewhat dark sense of humor. Whenever I have watched it I laugh, but while I'm laughing I'm horrified at what is happening. It is an odd mixture of feelings.
my sister made me watch this when i was like 12 and it's 'funny' in how clever some of the deaths are, but the main intent is to be overly disgusting, i guess a lot of people are in to that because I see the thing marketed everywhere these days
I feel the same way. I tried to watch it once, because my best friend likes it, but I found it gross and boring. It might be different if there was actually a story. It's just stupid, pointless cartoon gore.
Yeah completely normal like some people cant handle seeing Zombies which I love. Yet people say me the "Zombie Queen" can't handle seeing a woman give birth,"Ew ewww what the hell is that?!" haha. Its just a type of humor you don't like to see, though i find it hilarious.
I watch Bones while i eat so i dont find such things distusting... Its different from person to person also you could end up not finding it disgusting if you start out with something less "violent"...
I actually tried to like happy tree friends. But, I didn't . They all die it's so repetitive and boring. Disgusting to me? Not so much though. But I do get where you're coming from.
Eh, a lot of people have an immature sense of humor I suppose. Not saying I don't, but just watching things get killed doesn't amuse me at all /:
I think it's rather normal. Most people don't even seem to know what it is anymore xD But I dare you to sit down and watch some Adult Swim shows that aren't American Dad or Family Guy. There is some crazy shit on there, and it usually has a similar humor style to something like Happy Tree Friends...I don't like it much ._.
I tried to get into it when I was a teenager. I watched a few episodes with my younger brother, but truthfully I didn't like it very much. The brutal violence made me feel kind of nauseous.
I don't understand why pointlessly gory things like Happy Tree Friends (as well as horror movies and zombies) become so popular. For what it's worth, I don't mind brutal violence as long as there is sufficient plot and characterization to back it up (ex: Sweeney Todd) but if the whole thing is nothing but death and torture, then I really don't see a point to obsessing over it.
I find absolutely nothing about that show entertaining at all. It's the stupidest tripe I've ever had the misfortune of watching. So... normal or not, at least you're not alone.
However for me it's not so much that it's disgusting, it's more that I hate the idea that someone would be entertained by disgusting things. I almost feel... insulted, that the show is supposed to make me laugh. Allowing myself to be arrogant and haughty for a moment - excessively gory cruelty is far below my sense of humor.
Normal. Or at least, admirable.
