Is it normal i find cancer to be boring.

Ok so late 2013 I found a lump on my neck, went to the doctor fast forward a bit and I find out I have cancer..so I've done the whole surgery thing plus some treatment and the other things I need to have done. now it doesn't exactly upset me I have cancer, I just feel bored more than any other feeling. like as if your a kid and your dragged by your parents to your old aunty's house and your forced to sit on the couch for 4 hours having nothing at all to do...

You should try AIDS. That's where the fun is.

Alright, frank. But ya don't know what you're missing. Good shit.

I'll give a real answer while I'm here. Is cancer supposed to be exciting? oh boy, can't wait to get that chemo. I'd say it's probably normal to feel somewhat "bored" with all the lengthy medical procedures you have to experience as a result of cancer. Maybe you're emotionally numb to the experience as a defense mechanism, a way of blocking the mental distress of a possibly life threatening condition. Shit man, I don't know. You'll have to elaborate on this "bored" feeling. Do you mean you're somewhat indifferent to the whole situation? As if it's just inconsequential? No big deal? I don't know man. Most I think would show more concern for their well-being, but people handle serious situations in different ways. Whatever the case, I hope it is going well and you've been able to prevent it from becoming terminal. Good luck.

thanks and i see it more as like just wanting to get it over and done with. kinda like getting the flu but you have to stay home, when you would rather do other shit then just lay in bed for a few days.

That's understandable. Unfortunately it's just something you're going to have to go through in order to get well. Keep in mind that it's only temporary. I've been through some shitty situations myself and the best advice I can give is to keep your mind occupied. reading helped me. I wasn't able to focus on the undesirable situation at hand and follow the literature at the same time. It allowed my imagination to remove me from the circumstances. Keep your chin up. This too shall pass.

Agreed. I know a lot of people who had so much pain from their cancer they couldn't stand to be concious. I hope you get rid of it and get your health back.

I get it have the same problem for a long time after a while you're just like I wish I had something new wrong with me because the whole thing is just dull day after day doing the same thing why not get something fun or at least entertaining like being a adrenaline junkie with schizophrenia not that I want to be like that it just sounds more entertaining than some of the other diseases
