Is it normal i feel theres more to life?

Is it normal I feel that there has to be more to life than just going to work, buying a house and paying taxes? Something more exciting or something mysterious? I gotta think there's something more than just this or I'm gonna go insane. What do you guys think?

I like the option of being a penguin because it would in a way answer your question of there being something more to this life than the usual routine. A whole new world perhaps. If I was a penguin, and lets presume that I am, then that would mean that I have internet and am anthropomorphic. However, I'm a penguin so I require cold weather. Let's assume that I live in the South Pole, there's a whole new world here, an undiscovered world untouched by humans and in this world penguins have internet and can, to an extent, understand what is going on in the outside world. Computers can be a tool in which I use to read about current events and amuse myself with learning about human culture; fashion, anime, architecture etc.

I live in an igloo, and so do my fellow penguin neighbors. It's not just penguins though. I have a friend who's a walrus, a nice guy, names Wally. Wally the walrus, we always make fun of him for that. Anyways, I don't really leave the pole very much as I'm use to being in temperatures below zero. But when I see your post it makes me wonder if perhaps there is something more to life than just the usual routine; hunt for fish, build an igloo, and start a family. I don't stray too far from home, but now I want to, because I want to know what these wonders of the world are like. I hear about China and its great wall. I hear about Germany and its rich history. I hear and read a lot about these things but I've never actually seen them. Perhaps there is more to this world, but I'll never really know until I go out and see it for myself.

Then go and do more with your life, and make it exciting and mysterious if that's what you want. Make it happen.

If there _has_ to be, why isn't there more for most people? The ride is the ride. There isn't a super special one hiding round the back that the funfair people could make a fortune on but decide to destroy their profits by not letting anyone on it.

You now have to go insane. Can I watch?

    Abso fucking lutely!
Take it from someone who has never had a "straight" job; never worked in an office, punched a time clock or had any sort of 9 to 5 gig. Yet I have made and lost several small fortunes and worked my whole life.
I've never had weekends off, nor had a job that gives sick days or even vacation days, paid or not. I have traveled the world, usually at my employers' expense and lived aboard some of the biggest and fanciest yachts afloat or operated freighters to far away and exotic places like the Amazon and Orinoco rivers, Tahiti, the Caribbean, Asia and Africa.
There is absolutely no need to settle for a humdrum existence; there is a whole world of excitement and adventures out there which can provide one with a life that will leave you with no regrets for what you haven't done, when you are at the end of the adventure.
Grab the golden ring and live your life to the fullest!
