Is it normal i feel nothing when watching gore?

My friends like to watch gore, I just hate it, and I hate the fact they like to watch it, but when they do, they have emotional reactions, and flinch and all that. But when I watch it, I can stare at it and feel nothing, I even get very bored watching it, for me it has no sense, I don't see what's so "watchable" (¿?) about it, because it sucks maybe or I don't know, I think gore and snuff and all that is shitty.

    You should try and react more like they do to fit in. Its ok as long you use your psychopath powers for good!

      Weird thing is: if I were a psychopath, they are the ones getting thrilled and excited by watching the gore films, not me... :S

            You said you hate the fact your friends watch horror. Leave them alone. If they are not watching pedophile porn or some illegal shit why the fuck do you care? Leave people alone. Yeah they don't like what you like. That is their personal decision. Deal with it.

    It's totally normal. I feel nothing for gore either. It's a lack there of feelings in that part of the mind. Do you tend to be more emotional about other things comparatively? (As in toward your friends). It's like compensation of the mind.

      :S No I'm less emotional about other things too, the thing that worries me is developing schizophrenia, cuz I read somewhere that schizos have blunted affect. Well in my case it has got bluntier and bluntier if you get my drift.

    I will give my psycho analyze on this. People who are watch horror movies a lot are generally either have a sadistic/masochistic side to them or are adrenalin junkies. You might be able to find these aspects in other things they do besides scary movies. To them its fun. Your not like them. GET OVER IT
