Is it normal i feel hungry and thirsty after donating blood?

Today, i donated some blood to a charity medical group few hours ago. And since then, i have been eating and drinking like rabbit. I just finishing eating a huge meal and drinking about 120 cl of water with a 50cl bottle of coca cola. Now i still feel hungry. Could this be as a result of my blood donation or coincidence?

    I'm sorry but fucking DUH.

    As far as your body is concerned, you've just lost a shittonne of blood. Fluid loss will make you thirsty, blood loss will mean your body needs to replenish. Would have thought this would be explained when you donated. I mean they reel off heaps of shit at you just for a vial or two for a blood test...

    I'm no doctor, this just seems common fuckin sense...

    Edit: it's very good of you to donate the blood, though. Thank you on behalf of the people you will help.
