Is it normal i feel annoyed when i am not sleep deprived

I finally got some sleep for once and now I am just so annoyed . I do not often get any but when I do I just feel sick and disgusting like I am lazy . However I will stay up to the piont I am in physical pain and can not see anymore from such a lack of sleep . I do not know if this is just becuase my body is use to this but If my head does not feel like it is going to explode at any minute with a endless stream of running thought or I am allowed a minute of peace I hate myself and I feel disgusting .

I think this is completely normal. I used to have really bad insomnia to the point where I would stay awake for days on end with little to no sleep, now however, I sleep a little more than normal and it makes me very annoyed with myself that I require so much sleep.

I think the first part is normal, but the part about not allowing yourself a moment of peace and feeling disgusting sounds pretty bad.

When I had new-mom sleep deprivation, I always felt like I had so much energy and confidence and it was the first time in my life I was able to wake up at 6 a.m. with no problem. Then, as my daughter got older I began to get more sleep and I became lazy and started sleeping in more. I hate myself for it because my daughter sleeps in too and I really wanted to become an early bird and raise my daughter to get up early too.Depriving yourself of sleep is kind of like taking drugs though. It, too can be addictive.

I don't know how to help you, but I understand.

I'm a bit of the opposite. As much as I like not to be "hindered" by sleep, I also like to Hibernate for long periods at a time. If I don't get much sleep it can have negative effects on my body. Have you tried drinking hot milk or Valerian root? You need something that will help you sleep.
