Is it normal i eat so much hot sauce?

I eat hot sauce every day, on almost every food I eat (besides sweet food obviously). I'll pour it all over chicken, turkey, potatoes, pizza, etc. I even pour it onto a plate and eat it plain. It's 0 calories which is great because I don't have to worry about getting fat from it. Is this normal? Or is the amount I consume unhealthy?

I love hot sauce. I don't eat it as much as I used to though.

I prefer hot pepper flakes on a pizza, much better flavor. Other than that I agree 100%

Hot sauce (TX or LA style) can have a shit-ton of salt, something to watch for.

Jersey pizza has sausage made from ground-up mobsters and asphalt flakes from the turnpike.

The waitress brings it over, throws it on the table, and says "Fuck You!!!".

Yes, I've had Jersey pizza before.

I see. Well I don't eat sausage and I don't eat pizza where it involves waitresses.

It's kind of hard to get a pizza in Jersey anyway.

            The governor ate them all.

  • Hot sauces are the BEST! I'm living in the Eastern Caribbean at the moment, and some of their hot sauces are to die for (literally, I think sometimes). I tried doing my own thing with scotch bonnet peppers once... I waited for days to put in my contacts after handling them and my eyes still got scalded. My boyfriend was also not happy when we had sex and I handled his dick... poor guy. I went back to the local lady I bought the peppers from... she informed me that she handled the peppers with oil on her hands and gloves over them.... Oops.

I'm a chilli freak as well. If I'm eating something that can be spiced up and I'm cooking just for myself, then I'm going to spice it up. Even a cheese sandwich.

The reason you're doing it, by the way, is that eating spicy food makes the brain release pleasure-giving chemicals as a false response to it thinking the body is being burned. Hot food is essentially a drug albeit a safe and rather pleasant one.

I hope you don't get as bad as me, though. I've been rolling around on the floor in agony because of the heat of certain things I've eaten.
