Is it normal i don't understand what my brother wants?

I used to be a drunk and a real piece of crap. My brother paid 10,000 grand to get me help.This was like 10 years ago. I have a great job now and I don't do that crap anymore. I tried to pay him over the years with interest and he won't take the money. However He likes to hold it over my head and brings up what a loser I use to be whenever I visit over and over and over .All holidays birthdays gatherings are at his house because he has the biggest best house. His wife thinks its crappy he keeps doing this.If I stop visiting then the rest of the family will think I don't care about them. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to fall off the wagon again?

    Tell him to take the money or stfu, Then let that be the end of it. Refuse to hear any of his crap until he either drops it or takes the money.

    First off, congrats for taking advantage of your brother's expensive help, and putting your "crap" life 10 years behind you! He did probably the only thing he could to help you. We all have problem issues in our lives. Obviously his problem is his "holier than thou" attitude toward you. You might not be able to fix him. Maybe the only way you can repay his help to you is to take the high road, and pretend his "crap" doesn't bother you. Like water off a duck's back, it doesn't affect you! Everybody that knows you, and that knows him, and that sees how you respond to his bullshit will KNOW that YOU'RE the BETTER MAN, here, even if you're a woman!

    Your brother is using your past as a way to elevate himself. If thinks it makes him look better. His gloating is disgusting. Give him an ultimatum with the money, Deal or no deal?
