Why is it required on this planet to substain your authority figures with your own personal currency? Why do you all comply to this?
Taxes do not make any sense, I don't understand. Is this everywhere in this world? Explain.
Yea pretty much everywhere it pays for many things like infrastructure police fire department entitlements etc.
So are you a space alien or time traveller or from another dimension or... something else?
I see. It seems to work satisfactory at the moment, but it will not last, humans are just beginning to advance, there is still many centuries to come for them to be fully experienced with technology. Right now humans are just like wielding stone club around. They are only just beginning.
Why think Alien? I don't have to answer that, I could be, I could be not. Your galaxy is a big place, you decide what I am, your people have big imagination.
Of course you don't have to answer it is certainly your prerogative however in our culture it is considered polite to make small talk and share inconsequential details. Its how we form bonds and relationships. I though due to your curiosity and my open forthcomingness about our financial arrangements and strategies that you might be open to friendship. I apologize if my question was to forward but since I have no knowledge of your culture I don't know what is appropriate.

I appreciate your acceptance and openess, however my culture is not important at the moment, your authority monitors Internet and I don't want to get in trouble saying too much. Your people are not ready for interaction with different species of same and higher intelligence in large scale.

You are a good person, if not any trouble I would like to know more about you. Do not be afraid of hurting my feeling or saying anything wrong, I am very relaxed and most likely something from your culture wont really offend mine. You can ask some questions about me too if curious, though some I may be unable to answer but I will try my best.
We use taxes so we can pay for services like teaching, you know, so that all folks can be educated and won't start poking you with a pointy stick once you take off your "human skin".
Just kidding - we'll still poke you with a pointy stick - it's fun.
How else are you gonna get enough money to keep a military, keep services such as police and fire, build roads, maintain structures, preserve national parks, pay government employees, fund hospitals, public universities, schools... the list goes on.
The taxing system may be a little inefficient if you ask me, but the bottom line is that unless someone has a better idea of how to obtain that much money ethically and without implementing communism, that is how we have to do things.
Well, I'm not going to agree with everything that our tax money goes to. But taxes are necessary. How are they going to build or maintain the roads you drive on. How are they going to pay the teachers at the schools your kids go to? How about the library where you can borrow books for free? Would you rather have all toll roads, private schools where you have to pay?
Of course taxes are needed, How else would we blow up people for oil without taxes
Taxes are here to stay. Taxes help low income people survive. Taxes also fund the police to protect you against guys like me. *cleans steak knife in a dim dingy cellar*
Taxes fund military extortion. They also fund prisons for people that don't pay.
