Is it normal i don't really mind period cramps?

Yeah, they hurt like hell. Yeah, I'm curled in my bed in the fetal position for a week. But period cramps kind of make me feel more like a woman. I'm not very tall or curvy, and cramps are basically the only thing reminding me that I have a vagina right now. Is it normal?

Wow! I don't think it's normal because they hurt a lot and nobody wants to be in pains. I am trying to understand your reason but there are a lot of positive things that can make you feel proud to be a woman better than having period cramps.

    • I don't understand this. A guy likes the cramps because its tight and it has contractions on his man sword? He likes to have stomach cramp? You are crazy. Shut your trap.

Of course you don't understand. You're not inside out and upside down with me.

        My trap remains OPEN.

Is this like recess on the playground? I think you want me. You wanna feather my nest and I say nay, so quit pullin my hair!!!

That's the one thing that reminds you you have a vagina? Use a mirror.

    • You know what I mean. It's the only thing that makes me feel like a part of the female community.

But you're a woman. You're part of 'the female community', whether you're tall and curvy or short and shapeless, whether you have regular periods or never come off your contraceptive pill and haven't had your time of the month in years.

Period cramps shouldn't really be the basis of your gender identity :P

      • I have sex because I feel dead inside.

At first I thought this post didn't make sense, but I actually enjoy being sick with a cold or flu sometimes, you get to curl up with a blanket and eat soup and people feel sorry for you. Its somehow comforting...so youre not that weird.
I personally hate my period so much I skip the birth control placebos I haven't had it in years.

Well whenever I have cramps they're not THAT extreme ... but I can understand what you mean...I like to take advantage of the situation when I do have them because then everyone does everything for me and I get to stay in bed all day!!
    Sorry if it was TMI....lol

I'm guessing you don't have really bad ones.

    • I've passed out several times from the pain. But you're right, mine are still not as bad as some women's. At least I can stand up if I try.

lol whats so great about being "part of the female community"..
anyway, I don't mind them either, because they are a normal part of life for many animals

Here's a discovery I made thanks to the same disruptive issue of being housebound and in pain for days since my teens (now in my forties!)...

The state this creates is akin to that achieved in meditation and deeper states of awareness. Often, you get insights that you simply don't obtain in normal, everyday conscious states of awareness. You may not be able to describe them but they can border on mysticism.
