Is it normal i don't like the word "gastro" in food brands?

Ok, a bit petty maybe. But went into marks and spencer store the other month and they have a food range known as gastro pub. Admittedly the food is nice, and I have no problem with the food or store. But when I read the word gastro on the food box it puts me off as I can't help thinking of things like gastroenteritis or gastric juices or other gross things like that. I associate the word gastric with illness, like having the shits and throwing up. There are also a chain of gastro pubs, which are pubs which serve food. The thought of this word turns my guts and I really have to get past this phrase to eat it. Am I the only one or are there others out there who are turned off by the products because of the name?

Ugh, same here! I can't stand it.Might as well call it a rectum-raunt or the neighborhood pukery. "Gastro" is totally associated with gastroenteritis, gastrointestinal disease, and so forth for me.

I don't eat gastriques either for the same reason, even though it's a perfectly valid category of food.
