It seems like hell for me. I think there's a reason Japan is so high up on the suicide list. What irritates me are Wapanese who think Japan is sooo wonderful! No, it isn't. Especially if you're a woman or an autistic. Not everything has a hidden meaning. Flowery words don't mean shit.
I think you just don't understand their culture as it is very different from the western one. It suits some people, others it doesn't.
I wish people would stop writing posts when they're upset about something. Chill the f*ck out, and if it's still bothers you -publish a post.

There are goods and bads for every culture. I love USA, but I don't like the ghetto culture a few ppl here have adopted. I am interested in the Japanese culture, but I don't like how women are viewed there or how stressful school is for the youth in japan.
I think it's normal to hate some culture (for example I hate my own country's culture) because it's simply different but please don't mistake weaboos for otakus okay?
there is a high suicide rate in Japan. I think it has to do with the strict education system, the group based thinking, and the honor code. In the same token, they have some of the highest literacy and intelligence percentages of any place in the world.
Yes, I have never got the Japanese thing. Visiting Japan would literally be hell on Earth for me. Eurgh.
I am very annoyed by Wapeniese as well. I know what you are talking about. It is not japan I think you have an issue with but those who put them on the pedestal.
there are some things I like about Japan, but not everything. I dont think I could take it living like they do. also, I think they're cars are too boring and difficult to work on. (Some mitsubishis and the old Datsun Z cars are pretty cool though)
oddly enough, they're not as obsessed with censorship as we Americans are.
oh, except for that.
but nudity is more likely to show up on a mainstream show or videogame than in america, and you wont have a mass of lawsuits following said occurrence in fact, most japanese games and shows are censored when exported to america.
not to say there hasnt been anyone in japan who has tried though
I know how you feel. Wapanese are very annoying I hate them too. I think people like that need help. They live under a false sense of reality.
Ahaha please calm down. Any culture has it's good and bad sites. I think people are overestimating the differences. People are people no matter where you go.
If you just tried to get off the horse and blend in you'd find that japanese peoples values in life aren't that different from other people's.
