My "friends" are divided into 3 categories by me.
1) people whom I'm interested in, but don't know them well enough (to pick on)
2) people who have too annoying flaws that I don't want to be around them anymore
3) Best friends who doesn't fall into previous groups, which is rare.

I am usually too shy to make friends quickly, I'm cynical. I think it is pathetic that I don't like my friends but cannot make new ones.
I really could use some advices.. :s

    I really don't think this is something you can change. Either you accept and like people for who they are (and aren't) or you don't.

    Why Can't you make friends?? Its not that you cant, you just dont want to. Being really good friends with people takes time, its not an over night thing. But you have to Want to make friends- and I mean REAL friends. Your "friends" here that you are talking about- are not friends. They are just people that occupy your time. Keep going down this path and you really wont have any friends, no one wants to be friends with someone who doesnt want to return the friendship.
