I don't like the magazines where they have pictures of a celebrity eating ice cream and the caption says, "Look, she eats ice cream too!" Well duh you freakin dumbass.
It is ridiculous. Personally, if I seen a celebrity, I would just walk by them. Might say "Hey, you (or there first name)" as I walk by, but that's all.
I don't think all celebrities are like that. But I dislike certain aspects of pop culture, such as the ones you mentioned. It's normal.
I know. I feel the same way. But I don't hate the celebrity (person) themselves because not all of them are the same. I just hate the idea of "celebrity" if tha makes any sense at all. I hate how they put them on such a pedestal. They're people just like us. The term "celebrity" even gets on my nerves because why are they even labelled. But you know what? I saw of study of why people may do this. Humans aren't the only ones who worship celebs. I was reading an article and it was about a kind of ape (I don't remember which one). Anyway, the gave the apes a choice between food or to look at the apes with more wealth (which, to an ape, that would be the one with more bananas and superiority). The apes all chose the more wealthy apes than the juice. How about that?
I still think the idea of "celebrity" is ridiculous, but I guess it's nice to know humans aren't the only ones who do that.
I wouldn't say that I don't like them, but I just don't idolize them like other people do. Some people become obsessed over them for no reason. Celebrities don't even know of your existence. Why waste your time on them?
