I just don't like it. It's not cute (or kawaii) to me. I find it kind of creepy. I don't really like the way it's animated. It's deceivingly easy to draw. People keep calling me "racist against anime and Japan" which is kind of weird, since I myself am Japanese. People get super defensive and it's starting to piss me off. IIN?
You're not a racist. You hate over-stylized, bug-eyed, creepy cartoons, NOT Japanese people. As an artist, I think anime does not highlight the differences between people's faces much and it bugs the Hell out of me. They give people the same big-eyed face.
I agree that it's too easy to draw, it's ruining the art world for me.
Anyway, the people calling you racist are ignorant and should just keep their interests to themselves.
But really. In almost every single class there was that one kid who would draw anime and everyone would admire them while I'm secretly drawing monsters and facial expressions and poses that I worked so hard to master.

I don't like animie (can't even spell) it's annoying because people always say that I look like an anime character :/ I actually hate the illustrations though >< x
i think that the cutsy anime is tiresome most of the time, but more adult serious anime, Afro samarui, ghost in shell, ETC are awesome
I like all types of shows/movies or books, mostly for their stories though. Anime/manga style is actualky really difficult for me to draw, since I'm used to adding so much detail to my drawings. Simplifying everythinf, especially the face, is just really difficult for me, foe some reason. I guess that is why I enjoy the art style.
I'm only good at western comic book style.
I like anime/manga, and I think the basic line work is easy to do, but I can never quite get the shading right... Anyway people calling you racist? That's really stupid of them. I don't understand people who take a certain genre of cartoon seriously.
I like anime but the way people are treating you is absolutely ridiculous. It's like if I said I didn't like Mexican food, would that make me a racist? No, it wouldn't. Anime style isn't for everyone and that's understandable. Some people unfortunately take their interests too far and I'm sorry that you've had to deal with this.
