I think it takes quite a great leap of faith to assume your parents are telling the truth about your birthday. Since I personally don't remember when I was born I am uncertain of my exact age. I give my supposed birthdate when asked but I follow with a disclaimer that this information is not necessarily 100% reliable. IIN?
Mmkay. I don't know how tall I am :( I have no recollection of ever making any measuring devices so I'm certain that the ones I have used are lying to me. Those lines are not equidistant!!! Impossible!! Who can judge such things?!?! Don't even get me started on thermometers or I'll tell you right where you can shove it!!!!!

Very few of us go back and check with the hall of records to verify that our parents aren't lying, or that our birth certificate isn't a fake, but it can be done. It is also entirely possible to round up people who may have witnessed our birth and provide evidence to confirm the date of birth.
Yes, I suppose it does take some faith to believe in our date of birth without actually going through the motions to verify it. However, that does not mean that the skeptical cannot do an investigation to prove that the date is correct.
Such is not true with religion. Belief in God takes absolute faith and His existence cannot be verified with an investigation of evidence.
You can't even be sure of the universe's existence. Everyone you know, and the whole world could simple be a product of your mind. You could be in a straight jacket right now in a padded cell and not know it. Living in your own fantasy world. But for sanity, and conveniences sake, we assume most of what we observe to be true.(even our birthdays) :)
yeah they say I was born in 1983, I think it's a misprint I was actually born 1683. Don't believe the hype.
It's okay. I have the same problem. I don't remember watching my birth certificate get signed by the doctor who delivered me, so I bet it's a lie.
When I went to the Accident and emergency at my local hospital my mum couldn't remember the year of my birth so I had to fill that bit in myself :(. Akward car trip home
Some Asian's are right into the time of day you are born and day of the week etc, so I asked my mum at the request of my GF. Mum's response, #&%@! "How the bleeding heck should I know? After 6 kids you expect me to remember that, I'm flat out remembering your name, Peter' (and I'm not Peter).
You are paranoid as fuck, go to your local shrink and get yourself high on meds.

My Sis was born out in bumfuckIdaho same as yours truly. They didn't get around to doing her birth certificate paperwork until sometime later and to this day my parents argue her DOB.
