Is it normal i don't get pocket money?

This question revolves more when I was younger, 10/15 years old. I clean up around the house such as doing laundry, dishwashing, cooking dinner, vaccuming etc. but my dad usually only gave me $10 a month. He wasn't poor, he buys expensive gifts for his girlfriend, takes her out to fancy restaurants, and takes her to visit different countries such as America.

Does he just not like me or am I being selfish?

Children shouldn't be paid to do chores. That's just part of being in a household.

Whatever allowance you were given is dictated by what your father presumably decided was appropriate for a child your age. Of you think he had another motive, why not question him about it?

Honestly, you sound like you're a 15 year old posting this.

I bet you're pissing yourself over that witticism. How long'd it take you to think that up? Five stars. Your brilliance is without parallel.

You're supposed to be 31!?! Don't you have better things to do other than judging people?

You seem to think you are owed for contributing at home. Why? If you need more money than you're being given, I'm sure you could find work raking the neighbors' yards, cutting grass or babysitting.

Why would anyone other than refugees want to visit America?

I never got an allowance for doing chores and I definitely don't think its necessary. You are provided a home and food, the least you can do is help maintain it. I'm sure your father appreciated it.

One should have a reference point on how the government does everything wrong, in order to appreciate how well things are done in your home.

Your post isn't clear: the heading contradicts the $10 a month reference and is this now or in the past?

It's impossible to know if that's a reasonable amount without knowing what country you're in: what do your friends get?
