I'm a girl and I do want to get married someday. Wedding celebrations are nice. I would like to have a big, white dress and walk down the aisle and declare my love in front of everyone, but I'm not going to spend 50k on it! I mean, come on, it's a party! I get so annoyed when people blow thousands on 1-day party! Yes, I fantasize about my dress, but I'm not spend 1k+ on it! It's a dress that I'm wearing for 1 DAY. I hate that so many women are portrayed as wedding-crazy in the media. Am I the only girl who doesn't think it's a big deal?

    Honestly I think these days weddings are just unnecessary, especially if you're not having kids.

    lol I don't even care about marriage, I'm with gene Simmons on this one. I'd rather just have a bf the rest of my life

    I too am not looking to spend thousands of dollars on a wedding.

    Yes I would like to have a nice one that doesn't look crappy or trashy but I'd also like to save money and be sensible about it too.

    Especially the dress. Screw that. If the men can rent tuxedos we can rent dresses.

    I don't even care if I have a diamond for an engagement ring. Diamond rings didn't become traditional until the 1930s. Other gems are just as fine as far as I care.

    Lol and a 50k wedding isn't that big. I agree, it's ridiculous to spend that much money for a single day. Funny enough people say it only happens once in a life time yet people divorce for stupid reasons and make this occasion not worth it cause they'll get married again.
