Is it normal i didn't understand this political metaphore?

I was talking to my brother and he told me this political metaphor:
There was a man who killed his wife. He found out his wife was a pedophile so he told that to the judge, and the judge ruled it a suicide and sentenced the wife to death.

Where's the political metaphoe in that? A judge doesn.t rule a death a murder or suicide? a coroner does! And you can't sentence a dead person to death. Is the metaphor supposed to be that the American sytem makes no sense? Or what?

    Is there a real issue in this, something that we should all be worried about?
    Or is this just another meaningless political diversionary trick to keep our minds off the real issues that we should all be dealing with?
