Is it normal i cringe at weed names in movies?

For example in Pineapple Express the dealer names the weed all these stupid random names like Something "Trampoline" and in Grandmas Boy a batch is called this and that like "The Frankenstein" ... It can be fun but I always thought it was kind of stupid...

They have to name different strains something to distinguish them - I agree that some of the names are crazy but they are what they are.

I like all of the different types of pot. You can really tell the difference if you realy examine it and smoke it to taste. For example: super lemon? Tastes sooo incredibly lemony, its shocking.
So its not all the same and its not 100% bull shit, although pineapple express did have a lot of Hollywood. Which is of course bull shit.

I would say it isn't normal to cringe, but having gone to Amsterdam twice and living in Cali, I know that's how it is

    Those names do sound crazy.
It seems to me that they would call it something that describes the products looks, effects, taste, smell, etc.

Or the Camberwell Carrot in Withnail & I? If you go to Amsterdam, though, and buy something pre-made, they've all got daft names like White Zombie and Corpsemaker.
