Is it normal i couldn't stand being at an american beach?

i was recently visiting the us (washington) with a friend. of course i had to visit the beach, i love beaches. i know washington isnt the best place for that but it was what i had. when i got there, i was getting ready to lie down and was about to take my top off, because im just used to doing that automatically, and then i realized no one else was topless and remembered you cant do that at an american beach, so i pretended i was just adjusting the knot a little. i couldnt relax at all while i was there, because i kept thinking about how i wanted to let the girls out so they could get some sun and air. it felt so unnatural to me and i was uncomfortable the whole time. i thought of finding a nudist beach but i decided i wouldnt like the kinds of people that usually go there. american beaches are weird and cant be much fun. i dont understand why they have to be prudes. am i weird for being upset with this, or are they stupid for not letting anyone feel comfortable?

    Shes not a fucking whore, and you have a lack of understanding for the female body. In every other country almost, women are allowed topfreedom because female breasts are no more a sexual organ than a males.

    All you people screaming about decency need to realize you're talking about a system of morality that was invented in the Dark Ages, when the inquisition reigned and they burned people who didn't agree with them. Is that really what you want to be representing? Fools.

    I don't know if you meant Washington start or DC, but if it was DC you wouldn't want to take your top off there...that is unless you want your milkshakes to bring the boys to the yard.

    I've always found Americans very hospitable. I think if you were topless, though, I think you may make some others uncomfortable. It wouldn't bother me at all if women were topless in the supermarket (what difference should location make? A supermarket has no more requirement for decency than a beach) but it's not for everyone. If, as a country, they decide that topless bathing is not generally acceptable, you generally have to accept it.

    You're more than welcome to visit when I build my topless supermarket, though.

    Oh wait I have a solution to your problem too. Roof access. A wide space with lots of sun and no one can see you. You can go topless and bottomless. If you can't find roof access ask around. You're bound to find someone that can help you.

      i know the fun of being both topless and bottomless from when i visited a nude beach in santa catarina in brazil, and i would really love to do it again. but im not as used to it as being topless so keeping my bottom on doesnt really bother me. i didnt go to a nudist beach because americans are kind of weird and fat and old in the first place and i think a nudist beach would have that worse. i relaxed naked by a pool at a friends party once so if it really starts to bother me i know where i can go lol or i can try one of the nudist beaches here ive never looked at. but i dont know if i would like roof access as much because for me one of the most fun things about beaches is seeing other people and being looked at by other people. i wouldnt get that as much with roof access lol

        Where are you from? Also you can do that if its specifically a nude beach. If not you might get arrested for indecent exposure.

        I personally always hated beaches. I find them disgusting and uncomfortable. All those random people you don't know, everything burns like the concrete and the sand like crystal mirrors burning your feet, and even worse the sand sticks to every exposed part of your party.

        Honestly I do not see why you would want to be naked in such a disgusting place. Sand stuck up your rear and you vag and your boobs. That sounds awful. Beaches are horrible!

    I just can't figure out why you'd let that ruin the WHOLE experience. I expected a LOT worse when I opened up this message. So you had to wear a bikini top? Big deal. Think you can handle that for one day. Was the beach itself at least pretty?

    I have never been to America and this is exactly the reason why. Just like you I don't like this extremely prudish American attitude. I'm just glad to live in Europe where being topless on the beach is never any problem. And children are never offended by it, they see it and since nobody gives any negative reactions they just take it for normal and don't care. Of course, an American would scream out and offend the children.

    I can kind of understand the problem here. If you're used to not wearing a top and you have to wear one, it sucks. One of my guy cousins made fun of me all afternoon one time because I had to keep my top on at the beach when I would normally be topless at the pool at home.

    I live in America, so of course I would never go topless, but I just thought I'd clap for you, because I wish I were as confident as you to actually want to take my top off on a beach. I sometimes have trouble feeling totally confident even with clothes on!

    If you don't want to wear a top go to a nudist beach.Beaches are family places too so you have to respect others around you also you don't live there do it's not like you have to go through this every time you go to the beach.

    You're being ridiculous for being upset over this. Not everyone wants to see your boobs just laying out in the open like that - I mean, there are children around.

    If you want to be nude, then go to a nude beach. If that takes too much effort for you, then well, you're screwed.

    Like SwimBikeRun said, you're obviously not from here, so don't go to American beaches.
