Is it normal i couldn't speak while high on weed?

Probably part of it because my mouth was way too dry but there was also this weird feeling that I just couldn't articulate words. I understood questions but I could only answer by making signs with my hands. If I did try to speak (which took me a while) I couldn't say words properly and I left my sentences hanging in the middle because I got confused. Anyone similar?
And by the way I am completely sure it was not a paranoia thing that I didn't wanna talk to people. I wanted to talk I just couldn't do it. My body refused.

    Something like that happened to me but I was trippin my fuckin head off. Couldn't really talk or hear or see for a while. Words would not come to me. Crazy. Good times man. And on a separate occasion I tried to stab my friend in the arm with a fork because I did not want the god damn chicken nugget I told you several times! No nugget!!!

    Haha earlier today I was stoned & I did something for my mom (I forget what) but she was like "thank you" and it took me a minute to be like "oh yeah your soppost to say your welcome"

    It's funny, those were the only highs I was okay with when I smoked. Well, that and munchies. I never really talked much and I loved being soooo relaxed.

    Yeah, it's like slurring your words when you're drunk. Some people, when very high, can't think straight or construct coherent sentences. I've seen it happen to a few people, and have been that high myself. Personally I hate the lack of control and confusion from being in that state.

    That's just a nervous system thing, it can happen to some who smoke on the odd occasion. It's happened to me like twice in 10 years maybe. I wouldn't worry about that, it's if you start having sudden fits that it may be a problem. Weed is pedsetrian stuff in every sense but if you are schizophrenic or epileptic it is not good to get high.

    Weed is unpredictable liked that it. I wouldn't use something that had such an affect on me. It's shit like that that made me end up hating it.

    That's the goal of smoking weed. Some veterans will tell you that you aren't truly high until you have reached that point. But only the absolute best weed will do that for you, or if you have a low tolerance.
