seems like you are doing it for all the wrong reasons . I don't know how someone chooses to be a lesbian unless you mean you just realized you like women .

People like you are why the rest of us can't get any respect for our feelings. I didn't choose to start liking girls. It would have been stupid to choose that. I bet you're just some troll stirring the pot.

You have either performed one of two accomplishments:
1. Rationalized your innate homosexuality by saying you "chose" it.

2. Told everybody you are gay when you are straight.

Only you can truly know which you did. Time will tell.

Well, even though most homossexual people actually were born with that kind of sexual orientation and can´t really help it, i guess there's nothing for us to judge either when someone actually decides on their sexuality, as long as they're ready to deal with all of its implications... (Though i don't really believe that you just get to choose something like this so freely.You must've at least had some kind of inclination towards the same sex, even if that inclination was somehow unconsciously hidden.

The question can't be answered because of a fundamental flaw, one CAN'T choose to be gay. If you chose, you're not gay, you're just a liar... I have no idea how common it is for man-hating women to "claim" they're lesbian, so I can't tell you if your "choice" to label yourself as something you're not is normal or not, but it certainly IS an insult to the LGBT community.

I'm not gay, and I'm not a girl, so I take people's word when they tell me they're gay and what it's like to be born that way. It's the same with anyone who tells me they're something I can't ever truly understand because I'm not it. There might not be such things as lesbians for all I know. Maybe they're all liars like you, but I can never really know, yet I choose something too. I choose to believe in people and give them the benefit of the doubt, and I'm sure these people who put their trust in others to believe in them because they need to be believed and accepted for their sanity would not appreciate you lying and telling the internet about it and sullying their reputation and credibility as gay people.

To my mind, homosexuality makes perfect sense because all love makes sense. I didn't even need the scientific research to back up the hereditability and evolutionary purpose of homosexuality (though, admittedly and rather pedantically, most of it currently only supports the evolutionary purpose of male homosexuality) to convince me. Maybe you can tell, I'm a tad bitter. I just think that telling the world you're gay or lesbian when you're not because you think it's cool or because you hate the gender you're attracted to is just plain evil considering the suffering that true, honest gay and lesbian people go through even in 2015. Feel the shame, b*tch.

So, go ahead, have sex with who you want to, but don't go around saying you chose to be lesbian. What you chose is to go against your nature and to spite yourself, and it's sad.

It's not fashionable to say this, but I think for some of us it is true. I didn't choose the feelings but I did choose to act on them for 30 years.

It's a very convoluted matter. To me, it's irrelevant if homosexuel subjects are bound to it genetically or by free choice, I grant them that right nonetheless. Otherwise I'd be making a dangerous precedent by the allegations of a difference of legitimacy.

Did you choose to have sex or did you choose to be attracted to them all of a sudden? There's a difference.

your choice on how you feel

I think we all have from time to time looked at another girl and thought WOW! For most women there is also nothing particularly gross about another women like it is with men. So yes I could see a women choosing too be lesbian.

Just remember your 18, and a lot of people are unsure of their sexual orientation in their high school years, and if you ask any perverted man you will know collage which you may soon be in is a time of experimentation.

It's ok to explore but stay in your comfort zone.
